For a very long time we had focused only on the South and Southeastern part of our nation… Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo in the Yucatan Peninsula and the states of Tabasco and Chiapas, West of the Peninsula. This region –home to about 4% of our current day population was known for having been the most populous region in all of the Maya World during the Post-Classic period.
